Music Break

NPR’s Alt.Latino Podcast is one of my favorites.  There are a lot of great artists from Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean whom I would have never discovered otherwise.  I love the show, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites:

Rita Indiana’s “Dulces Sueños,” which is a cover/translation of the Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of These)

Ana Tijoux’s 1977, a song that floors me every time I hear it, even though I don’t actually like rap.

and, my personal favorite.

Mexico’s Carla Morrison’s “Compartir,” a song and a voice I fell in love with the first time I heard them.
